Description
Isolating switches, also known as disconnect switches or load break switches, are devices commonly used in conjunction with fuse links to provide additional safety and convenience when working with electrical circuits. These switches are designed to physically open or close a circuit, allowing for isolation of equipment, maintenance, and safe handling of fuses or other components. When a fuse link needs to be replaced due to a blown fuse or maintenance, isolating switches can be used to disconnect the circuit from the power source before accessing the fuse holder or base. This ensures the safety of personnel and prevents arc flash hazards. Designed in two types – horizontal and vertical. They represent a combination of low voltage iso_x0002_lating switch and high power safety devices mounted in a common plastic corpus. They are used for low voltage distribution boards and complete transformer substations (CTS) where visible circuit distribution is necessary. They provide safety and convenience at fuse links change. The plastic corpus increases the IP code and the plastic lid provides simultaneous circuits switching on/off. The lid allows easy removing which is additional measure at repairs. The vertical isolat_x0002_ing switches are mounted directly to the power supply rails which enables the exploitation and improves the safety of the staff.
