Description
An interface relay, also known as a control relay or coupling relay, is a specialized type of relay designed to provide isolation and signal conversion between different parts of an electrical or electronic system. It acts as an intermediary between low-power control signals and high-power loads, allowing safe and efficient communication and control. Interface relays provide electrical isolation between the input control circuit and the output load circuit. This isolation prevents disturbances in one circuit from affecting the other. Interface relays can amplify weak control signals to drive higher-power loads effectively. The contacts can be normally open NO, normally closed NC, or both. Industrial relays are designed for easy mounting onto DIN rails, control panels, or other industrial equipment with the help of the socet type for every relay. Interface relays are commonly used in scenarios where there s a need to separate control and load circuits or to interface between different types of control systems, such as PLCs Programmable Logic Controllers and sensors, or between digital and analog devices.
